Lightscape Preview, the Garden’s annual fundraising event, gives donors and their guests an exclusive “first look” at the Lightscape exhibition before it opens to the public. The event features local and international artists that electrify the Garden through music, light, fire, and color.
We worked with Chicago Botanic Garden to develop the event brand, microsite, and materials.
Built upon the existing Lightscape word mark, movement and color amplify the identity for Lightscape Preview. We also developed the theme: "Illuminate Your Journey." The identity and theme are utilized across materials, both together and separately, to generate excitement for the event.
As with any exclusive event, physical collateral is essential. We developed a suite of materials including an invitation, RSVP device, tickets, signage, and special giveaways for Lightscape Preview.
We developed a website that provided event information, the ability to purchase tickets, and a recap of images from past events. Following the Preview, the site was updated with photos from this year’s event, keeping visitors engaged in supporting the Garden.

Email correspondence was sent to Garden patrons before and after the event. From the initial Save the Date, to digital invitations, pre-arrival information, and post-event thank yous, digital communication informed and thanked patrons throughout the fundraising process.
